Recently I have had conversations with my clients and friends about what is going on in this market that I would like to share with you as a guide for you and anyone YOU know who want to THRIVE in today’s Real Estate Market.
1. Bea, I think prices will continue to drop so I am thinking about waiting to buy.
You are right. It appears that prices will continue to drop on the homes that MOST buyers DO NOT want to buy. That’s about 50% of the market that is grossly overpriced given their condition and or location. But keep in mind that about 40% of the available homes are selling at or near the list price and about 10% are actually selling with multiple offers … something the local media chooses to ignore in its daily reporting.
2. Bea, how can I be reassured if I choose to buy in this market?
I understand your concerns about the market and I am here to guide you through. My negotiating skills will provide you with the ultimate benefit and peace of mind when making an offer on a home or investment property. Building wealth in real estate has always required a long term investment. Employing a "Buy and Hold" strategy will accrue true wealth. Appreciation is all about TIME in the market, not TIMING in the market.
3. Bea, what will the 2008 real estate market look like?
I don’t know what the future holds other than living here for over 40 years and experiencing all the different markets that the Marin County real estate market always afford great OPPORTUNITIES at any given time. Marin real estate is a sure bet in the long run. No short term promises.
